Big Give Synopsis, Spring/Summer 2008:
Our village of R2K supporters dug deep and helped us make a significant impact with the children of the Family Crisis Center in Denver, for our very first giving initiative. More than $11,800 in merchandise and clothing was donated to The Center, which helps transition children in abused and neglected living situations into stable home environments. Other in-kind donations included: $2,000 worth of new backpacks from Vans, Inc., hundreds of dollars in bathroom towels, linens and other toiletry items, from La Casa Del Zorro Hotel, in Borrego Springs, California; hundreds of dollars of new books donated by the Rocky Mountain News; discounted camera equipment from Office Depot, and new clothing. The outpouring from our village of supporters, made a lasting impact on children, who otherwise feel like no one loves or cares for them. And for that lasting imprint, we thank you!
